Our team recently embarked on a familiarization (FAM) tour to experience some of Sri Lanka’s most remarkable properties firsthand.
On October 13th, we began our adventure at Leopard Safaris, arriving just in time for lunch before an unforgettable afternoon safari. The camp’s luxury tents offer an authentic yet comfortable stay that blends seamlessly into the wild. With a strong focus on sustainability, Leopard Safaris provides a truly immersive and responsible way to explore Sri Lanka’s wilderness.
The next morning at Hilton Yala Resort, we were greeted with refreshing drinks and a woodapple popsicle before a guided tour of their stunning eco-friendly property. Blending modern luxury with nature, Hilton Yala stands out as a sustainable haven on the edge of the wild.
We then explored Chena Huts by Uga Resorts , a luxurious hideaway where each hut combines rustic charm with modern indulgence, followed by a scenic lunch overlooking the Indian Ocean.
At Wild Coast Tented Lodge by Resplendent Ceylon, we admired their cocoon-shaped tents and exceptional guest experiences — a perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and sustainability.
That evening, we arrived at Borderlands Sri Lanka in Weligama, thrilled to be the first guests to stay before their grand opening, ending the day with a memorable dinner hosted by their wonderful team.
Our final day began at Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa, where we toured ocean-view rooms, vibrant dining spaces, and a stunning pool deck — a perfect blend of comfort and coastal charm.
Next was Shri Sharavi Beach Villas & Spa, a boutique beachfront escape with personalised service, elegant villas, and a serene atmosphere. Its 43-metre saltwater infinity pool, spa, and wellness centre create the perfect sanctuary by the sea.
We then visited Triple O Six, a chic modern hotel embodying the laid-back charm of Mirissa and Weligama — stylish interiors, warm hospitality, and beautiful ocean views make it a slice of paradise on the southern coast.
At The Fortress Resort and Spa, colonial-inspired design meets contemporary elegance. We enjoyed a delicious oceanfront lunch while admiring the resort’s refined architecture and tropical calm.
Finally, we visited the Hotel Raddison in Thalpe, an elegant seaside retreat with sweeping coastal views, fine dining, a vibrant beach club, rejuvenating spa, and luxurious rooms — the perfect finale to our journey.
