Managing Director / CEO

Ruvinda Bernard is the Founder and Managing Director of Enchanting Ceylon, a destination management company born from his passion for sharing the very best of Sri Lanka with the world. With over 18 years of experience in the country’s tourism industry, he brings deep local expertise, trusted industry relationships, and an intuitive understanding of what travelers truly value in a journey.

Ruvinda founded the company with a simple vision: to create thoughtfully designed travel experiences that feel personal, seamless, and authentic. Known for his hands-on leadership style and warm approach, he remains closely involved in crafting itineraries, building partnerships, and ensuring every guest receives genuine Sri Lankan hospitality from arrival to departure.

His dedication, industry knowledge, and genuine love for his homeland continue to shape Enchanting Ceylon into a trusted DMC for travel partners and clients seeking meaningful, well-curated experiences across the island.

Samantha Perera

PA to the CEO

Samantha Perera joined the Enchanting Ceylon team in September 2025, bringing with her a genuine love for travel, a passion for history, and a global perspective shaped by 16 years living in the United States. Her time abroad allows her to intuitively understand international travelers, blending cultural awareness with a deep appreciation for Sri Lanka’s heritage.
Her connection to travel began early, as she spent much of her childhood exploring the island with her family, discovering its landscapes, cultures, and hidden corners from a young age. Those formative experiences instilled in her a lasting curiosity and a personal understanding of what makes a journey truly meaningful. Her enthusiasm for uncovering new places and the stories behind them helps her connect naturally with clients and contribute to journeys rich in culture, authenticity, and memorable moments.
With a background in journalism, writing, photography, and blogging, Samantha combines creativity with curiosity, bringing a thoughtful and engaging perspective to the travel experiences she helps design.
Viren Munasinghe

Operations Manager

Viren Munasinghe serves as the Operations Manager at Enchanting Ceylon, overseeing tours and managing the company’s overall ground operations with precision and dedication. With over 10 years of experience in the travel industry — including more than 6 years with Enchanting Ceylon — he brings deep operational expertise and strong industry insight to every journey he curates.
Actively involved in designing bespoke itineraries, Viren combines hands-on operational management with extensive local knowledge to craft thoughtfully curated travel experiences across Sri Lanka. His strength lies in balancing logistics, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring seamless execution from planning to departure.
Passionate about showcasing Sri Lanka in its most authentic and refined form, Viren is committed to transforming each holiday into a meaningful and unforgettable experience.
Laieq Mohammed

Sales and Business Development

With over 11 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, Laieq Mohammed specializes in designing and managing high end FITs (Fully Independent Travelers), incentive groups, and curated small group journeys. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of working with renowned travel brands such as The Fabulous Getaway, Authenticities, and Abercrombie & Kent, gaining valuable global exposure within the luxury hospitality sector.
His expertise extends beyond bespoke travel planning to include involvement in specialized projects such as private jet journeys and large scale cruise operations. These experiences have strengthened his ability to manage complex logistics while delivering exceptional, detail oriented service.
He is passionate about creating meaningful travel experiences and building lasting relationships across cultures. An outgoing and people oriented professional, he thrives on connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds and continuously expanding his global perspective.
Outside of work, he enjoys staying active through basketball and soccer, embracing the same teamwork and energy he brings into his professional life.
Tharuka Ranathunga

Intern

Tharuka Ranathunga is currently studying Hospitality and Tourism Management and is excited to be star ng his journey in the travel industry. With a background in Commerce and a genuine interest in how travel brings people and cultures together, he is eager to learn, grow, develop his skills and be part of creating meaningful experiences for our clients. He brings a positive attitude, curiosity, and a willingness to take on new challenges, making him a valued addition to the team as he builds his knowledge and hands-on experience in the field.
